- Walk The Cooee Way Q4 2022
Having someone that you can lean on and can get you back to the right track is truly amazing, and that’s what Joanne is. She’s one of those awesome people who’s making sure that they are making impact to others in every encounter. Joanne is guided by values. Being Authentic- By just being herself, she doesn't know that other people's life lightens. Simple joke from him/her really are making our day. Her stories and challenges as a parent serve as an inspiration to us. Being Empathetic- Understanding and listening, those are some of the powers she naturally has. She knows the importance and impact of those things to other people. She always makes herself available for someone who needs help. Believing in potential- If there's someone who has the highest point of telling good things to other people, that's her. Every time she sees amazing and beautiful things, she puts it in words. She really expresses kindness and beauty. And through that, other people's confidence is gained, she made them realizes their potentials and strengths. If I would ask myself why Joanne is doing what she's doing, well at first, I don't know. But the more I get to know her, the more I am figuring out the why. All the things that she's doing and sharing with other people is making a great impact. A simple "you’re doing well", "I know you can do it" really are part of another's transformation. She knows that every little conversation counts. I can say that she really is living Cooee values and that this is also helping her in personal and professional space and in all aspects of life.
- A Fresh Start: The Launch of the Cooee Website
In our journey into deepening our footprint in this industry, it has been an aspiration to design a website that encapsulates who we are and what we believe in. With a mission to share Cooee’s story through our website’s design, visuals, and content, we, the creative team, remained steadfast in our commitment to making this mission a reality. Our old website, which was first built with Wordpress, gives us good experience and lessons to apply to our new website. We decided to use Wix as we see more opportunities to broaden our ideas in website design because it lets us play freely and we have less trouble using its functions, allowing us to be more creative, secure, and user-friendly. We are guided by Cooee’s brand, still in a minimalist way. We chose a more modern pastel blue, white, and yellow color palette to reflect this idea of minimalism. From here, we looked to curate an effortless user experience by organizing the website’s content to highlight Cooee’s culture through values, people, practices, and tools. Though Wix has everything we need to build our new website, we still encountered challenges along the way. The first involved redirecting links from an old website to a new one. We couldn’t finish redirecting all the links from the old website until it was down already, but as we believe in a saying, "if there’s a will, there’s a way." Of course, with the help of our dearest friends, Google, YouTube, and Stack Overflow, we overcame it. We had to go through the process of bypassing, studying, and testing the flow to see how it affected or what would happen if we tried this and that. We are glad we figured it out, and now our new website is already ranked up in Google searches, and the old website is not showing anymore. Another one was when we were alarmed when, on the same day, the old website was already down, and our new website was not secured. We were very worried, as it is one of the most crucial issues in building a website. But we realized that it was somehow because the domain was still migrating the redirections from the old website to the new. We waited for a day, and the next day, we checked it, and it was already secured. Because of these challenges, we couldn’t meet our deadline for launching. We extended it for a week, and we are very grateful for our stakeholders, as they understood the situation and, in fact, supported us in launching it the following week. As we launched this new website, we can say that this project brought an entire mix of resourcefulness, innovation, and confidence to turn Cooee’s story into the tangible website that we see today. We are deeply grateful. Having taken this opportunity to refresh and re-energize, we hope to be better placed to connect and start conversations one person, one community, one business at a time…
- A Step Towards A Secure Communication
Phishing is one of the most well-known cyber attacks that companies are fighting against now and then. It is one of the attacks that continues to evolve being on par with how cyber security companies prevent them and help people be aware of them This is one of the motivations that Cooee took in to work on and upgrade our communication platforms, especially our email environment. Cooee has recently migrated from cPanel hosted by a third party IT solutions provider to Google Workspace with these considerations in mind to strengthen our email security and to completely own the environment in which these emails come and go through. We have successfully migrated our data between these two platforms to continue being on top with cyber security. We have discontinued our previous domain, www.mycooee.biz along with every email that is under it and has seamlessly transferred to www.cooeeinc.com. If you would like to connect and learn more about us and our new domain and email, please go to our new website and connect with us at info@cooeeinc.com.
- Unlocking the Future
Graduation is one of the most significant events of my life as it gave me a sense of completion, and it has proved that hard work really pays off. All of my life, I have always put my education first because my father told me at a young age that I should take school seriously, as he was not given a chance to finish his studies. Ever since he told me that, I promised myself that I would always make sure that I am giving my best when it comes to my education. Looking back, I still remember the days I took entrance exams from different universities; I lost track of how many applications I had sent and did not end up studying at my dream school. I also gave up my dream of becoming a Psychologist and took another course, but still, I studied hard to maintain good grades, yet I got one failing grade during the pandemic and failed to be part of Latin Honor. My college days have been filled with struggles, insecurities, and sleepless nights. Our life was flipped upside down because of the pandemic. We are the product of both face-to-face and online classes, but we have survived our education despite all the challenges that the pandemic brought us. I still enjoyed it and had an excellent college experience. Even though I couldn't pursue my dream school and course, I was able to meet incredible people throughout my journey. Even though I wasn't part of the Latin Honor, I still have my scholarship from the beginning up until the end of my college journey, and aside from that, I met Cooee when I was losing hope. What I have realized is that sometimes not getting what you wanted or planned for ends up being the best thing that ever happened to you, and what's really meant for you will never ever pass you by because if God doesn't give you what you want, He will provide you with what you need. And now, I am thrilled to unlock my future in a world that is full of opportunities, and I am starting it with Cooee!
- KPI's: The Key to Unlocking Business Insights and Driving Results
Key process indicators (KPIs) are measures that are used to gauge how well certain business processes are doing. These metrics can be used to monitor goals' progress, spot opportunities for development, and inform data-driven decisions. Choosing the most pertinent metrics for a particular process, setting goals for those indicators, and routinely monitoring and evaluating the data to make any adjustments are all steps in the implementation of KPIs. With the efforts of Imagineer and a full cooperation of the teams, Cooee was able to implement KPI trackers and with this comes the KPI dashboards that gives transparency on the teams performances. One particular story that shows the impact of KPIs is the development of and implementation of Solar Juice KPI Dashboard. The Imagineer and Solar Juice team collaborated to create the team's automated personal tracker as well as shared ideas on what charts could show significant information that will be helpful for the clients. After, the KPI dashboard has been discussed by Ms. JP together with the team, Solar Juice very much appreciated the development of the dashboard and it showed them the accurate volume, timeliness and quality of the team's process as well as discovered bottlenecks and regular dependencies of their process. The dashboard will be sent to clients regularly for close monitoring and proper decision making. With the utilization of KPI's clients can better understand its operations and spot possibilities for improvement by measuring and tracking certain activities. Improved customer satisfaction, increased efficiency, and cost savings are all possible results of this. KPIs can also be used to make data-driven decisions and track progress towards objectives like boosting revenue or decreasing costs. It is crucial to remember that implementing KPIs into practice has its share of difficulties. It might be difficult to choose the proper metrics to monitor, and it can be difficult to collect reliable data as the Imagineer team experienced during the development of the KPI trackers the Solar Juice tracker went to various iterations to improve and issues to solve. One of the issues that we encountered was the inaccurate number of volumes as we weren't able to distinguish which are considered order or not. Also, another problem is the access to the accurate duration of accomplishment per task since it has never been tracked before. Lastly, which metrics are significant enough to give proper insights to clients and which area we can emphasize so that the client could help the team to improve their productivity efficiently. Furthermore, analyzing the data and taking action on it might be challenging because it may need extensive analysis and interpretation. Despite these obstacles, using KPIs can be an effective tool for raising corporate performance and making data-driven choices.
- A week with H (Harry)
It can be stressful to meet with a client because you're anxious to learn new information, anxious to make a good impression, and anxious about what to say and do and how to act around them. Since Harry has been working for our client's company for more than fourteen years, you have great hopes for his understanding of the workings of the company. Meeting a pioneer and learning the factors contributing to the company's success was incredibly energizing for the entire team. An unforgettable week filled with pleasure, excitement, and a fresh perspective on how to approach and handle all our tasks has resulted from all the feelings that preceded his arrival. H, highlighted that we are an addition to the business, not a rival to people who are employed onshore. With his behaviors, the way he treated us, and the way he imparted his expertise with us, he gave us the impression that it was real. After only a week with H, I felt a connection with him. He gave me the impression that he has my back and will support me in all I do. Mistakes are one of the best instructors; the most essential lessons may be learnt by making or observing one, and we both agreed that it is easier to trust someone who makes mistakes and owns up to them than someone who never seems to make one. Although I was hoping to see our client, what actually happened was that I got to meet my mentor. Looking forward to your return. More food trips, and hopefully a beach trip with you and the PH Team!
- Uncovering Top Talent: How A/B Testing Can Optimize Recruitment Marketing Efforts
It's natural for marketers to use their intuition when creating landing pages, email copy, banners, or call-to-action buttons, but this doesn't always lead to the best results. A/B testing is a great way to determine the most effective online marketing strategies for a business, rather than relying solely on gut feelings. This approach can produce better results and prevent detrimental outcomes caused by intuition-based decisions. A/B testing is a process of evaluating the effectiveness of two different versions of a web page, application, or design by showing them to different users randomly. These versions are labeled as "A" and "B" and their performance is measured by using metrics such as conversion rate or engagement like click-through rate or time spent on the page. The version that performs better is considered the better option and is usually adopted as the final version. The Cooee Marketing & Creative team utilized the A/B testing method in various projects in 2022, specifically for our goal of discovering talent. This technique helped us determine the most effective banner ads for our hiring ads on various social media platforms. We used this method on Cooee's Facebook ads by creating different versions of banners to identify the messaging and imagery that resonated with potential job candidates. This led to an increase in the click-through rate and more candidates visiting the Cooee Be One of Us Career Page. Additionally, A/B testing also helped us to help the recruitment team by allowing us to test different variations of job ads and application forms to determine which versions are most effective in attracting and converting candidates. For example, we were able to determine which job title or details on the banner would generate the most clicks on a job ad, or which application form fields would deter candidates from applying. We also found that ads showing the benefits of the company and employee reviews received more engagement and clicks. By using data from A/B tests, we were able to identify our next strategy and improve the job title and details on job postings on other platforms, such as Indeed, resulting in the highest rate of onboarding. Furthermore, A/B testing allows me and Jean to understand what elements of the banner ad are most appealing to potential talents, measure the impact and effectiveness of recruitment campaigns, and make data-driven decisions on how to improve them. By using banner ads to highlight our benefits and values, as a result of A/B testing, we increase and broaden the reach of Cooee brand awareness and recruit top people who share our values and culture.

- Thirteen Cracking Days
I kept thinking of that one word to describe my experience in Australia. A lot came to mind - great, awesome, breathtaking, enjoyable, engaging, remarkable. All of those and more. After moments of reflection, one word to describe the whole experience did fit - TRANSFORMATIVE. More than two years of almost always being at home, travelling abroad again seems like new to me. The preparations, packing and just the feeling of a few weeks away from family. The mums in the group carrying out a careful plan with their husbands and extended families to take care of their kids with a checklist. The anticipation of what is to happen. Definitely an opportunity to conquer and step out of a comfort zone. And I did. We did. Touchdown in the Land Down Under. We were greeted by the bluest sky, the brightest sun and cool breeze. A new environment, a refreshing one. Walking around the quiet suburbs of Sydney with the smell of flowers, the birds happily hopping, fine sand and blue seas to the buzz of the CBD is an experience in itself. It was made more surreal being in a room, sitting side by side and having meaningful conversations with our partners face to face and being in their space. It was my pleasure and privilege to have our partners take a moment and step into their Manila team’s everyday experience, of how we foster connections and engagement, and together strive to live our Why. The nice-to-meet-you handshakes turned into exchanging of and listening to stories over a meal, at times with families, ended in warm hugs with a wish to meet again the way we just did. And right then I knew, this experience meant more than what I thought it would. Gratitude. Hope. Relationships. These are what I brought home from Australia. Onwards!
- Flipping the Book: A Fresh Graduate’s New Chapter
People say that you will experience the best memories in your life in high school. But for me, I would say that the best time of my life is when I started my journey in college. My college life is easier said than done. I spent my two years in a face-to-face setup and that was the biggest change for me. Choosing my dream university was the hardest decision I made during that time. I was born and raised in the province, I never experienced the life of an independent woman. But for the sake of achieving my dreams, I choose to learn how to be one. But — gradual changes are difficult. Adjusting and learning to be mature over the night is not easy, I learned all my first times, one thing I will be proud of since I’ve been able to use it even when I already graduated. But problems arise from one another, and that is when we shift into online set-up due to the rise of COVID-19. Another adjustment — everything is new to me, attending classes via online platforms, using modules instead of discussing it in the traditional classroom set up. Luckily, I would be able to surpass the hurdles in life, but obstacles don’t stop there as long as we’re alive. My next hurdle after surviving online classes is the job opportunities. The economy has shut down for almost two years, meaning to say the year I will be graduating is a tough battle; I am competing with over a thousand of HR graduates who wished to be an HR practitioner, and those who are still seeking for work opportunities due to the pandemic. I am losing all my means of hope, I do not know if I will be able to pursue a job which aligns with the course I finished. I spent a few months searching for a job opportunity but because of the tight competition, I always get rejected. Receiving a single rejection is fine, but after you experience it multiple times, you will begin to question your capability, “Am I enough?”, “What do I lack?”. When you already have those thoughts, you will now think of giving up finding a job which aligns your course. But on the verge of giving up, Cooee saved me. I was about to shift my career and find another job but Cooee called me and said that I passed their final interview and I received a job offer. I am forever grateful to Cooee because they see a potential in me, a fresh graduate when everyone didn’t.
- The Moment of Truth
All of them are so professional and cool at the same time. I learned a lot of things by just having a conversation with them. Different strategies, 1 goal, to be of great service… Earlier this year, I received a message from our company CEO Kris Buckham. Said he needs to talk to me urgently. A little bit confused and scared, I answered his call. I’m trying to read his face if he’s worried, angry, or happy. Then I saw him smiling, and I felt relieved. Out of 3 good news he mentioned, 1 thing struck me the most, that I was chosen to go to Australia to meet our clients. I wasn’t able to react right away, because I’m still trying to absorb it in my mind. But I know, deep inside, my heart is jumping in so much happiness. So, after our conversation, the joy suddenly turned into a bit of worry. I don’t have a passport yet and I have a problem with my birth certificate. And so, what I did is pray, I said to the Lord, “if this is really for me then you will make everything possible” Fast forward, the moment of truth, night of Nov 02, this was actually my first time. I don’t have any idea what I need to do step by step. Good thing I’m with my colleagues. We’ve been through long lines while carrying our heavy suitcases. Until we finally passed through the immigration and went to the gate. We’re so excited, but another challenge came in, the flight was delayed. We prayed and then finally, we entered the plane. 7 hrs flight, but I really can’t sleep because of the butterflies in my stomach. We landed past 11 in the morning of Nov 03 in Sydney. And I was like dreaming and I can’t believe that was really happening. We’re so lucky because Kris invited us to have our dinner in Cronulla RSL, where we had a beautiful view of the Cronulla beach plus the delicious food. The day after, we first visited Armstrong Ceilings Sydney clients. They were so kind and accommodating. They were so interested in our presentation and so happy telling us that they made the right decision to partner with us. We had our lunch together and they are giving us a lot of ideas as to where we could spend our weekend while we are in Sydney. The following week was a big week. We spent the whole weekdays meeting different clients. On Tuesday night we went to Melbourne to also meet some of our clients there, Armstrong Ceilings Victoria and Autograb Team. It was such a great experience. I’m very glad to see them face to face. They’re giving me hugs, we shared a lot of stories and we were just enjoying the moment. I had a chance to see our client’s offices and warehouses which were before, I am just seeing it via zoom meetings. But that time, I was actually walking there. I also met our Real Estate Agency partners, X Commercial and Stanton Hillier Parker (which was the original client I am handling before) . I’m so grateful to hear all their feedback about me and the Cooee Team. I am not exaggerating but, I felt like I was floating in the sky during the time I was presenting and talking with them. I don’t expect much of their kind words, but that’s what they gave me. I gained more confidence upon hearing them. All of them are so professional and cool at the same time. I learned a lot of things by just having a conversation with them. Different strategies, 1 goal, to be of great service and to be the best version of themselves. Which is aligned to the values of Cooee. With all those meetings and conversations with different clients, I can say that I am in the right company. Where people are treated righteously, teaching us to believe in our potentials, and be more aware of earning other people’s trust. Thank you, Kris and Pia, I will forever treasure this experience and will never forget all of the things I’ve learned from different people. I’m so grateful to the Lord that he made one of his plans for me possible. It’s true that Nothing is impossible with God.
